So for the same reasons that law would be unconstitutional, this law would be as well because there is a lack of a meaningful government incentive involved. Existing California law already takes into account the well-being and general welfare of a minor which includes parents affirming their child

"Reactionary radical centrism" is not an accepted argument for defending the constitutionality of this law, and would open the floodgates for laws enabling Republicans taking trans kids away from affirming parents
