okay so to have some more nuanced take on this, here's my grid. alt text contains relevant HTML and CSS. i cannot get the grid's cells to shrink, which i would expect the entire grid container to also be able to shrink because of the flex. parent to this code is a fixed size rectangle.
January 28, 2026 at 4:35 PM
maybe it's just a skill issue, but i wish this grid parent would shrink to close up the gaps between grid items. i have the parent grid inside a flex box, flex-shrink: 1 on it, still wants to be wider than necessary.

maybe i'm wrong but i feel like flexbox would handle this better.

working on making this scale less ugly, but it's pretty challenging at certain width sizes... CSS is a challenge for sure. but also working on the logic, getting the editor feature working with input of handles. want to make sure i do this right.

anyone else running neovim + wezterm + wayland run into weird issues? running into issues with these windows that cannot be closed that have the neovim icon on them.

i found this article with the same exact issue, but my config does not have this setting in it mwop.net/blog/2024-09...

alt text has a user's handle shown, but ultimately would want to make them have a nice hover card with maybe a profile preview and click going to their bluesky profile, or maybe one of those "pick which atproto to view them with" apps. using CSS variable passing to calculate based on card size.

good progress 🧐 slowly coming together. this took a lot of back and forth reviewing other code, but i'm doing it!
January 24, 2026 at 4:07 AM
okay this is so clever. i didn't realize this until running it locall, even if it should've been obvious, but the @blento.app homescreen is literally just app.blento.card records on the account, and the env file sets those. talk about dogfooding.

replicated, dug through this issue, here's your real culprit. AlmaLinux 8.x being RHEL based means it runs very old packages, and glibc is a subversion behind so the library can't load :(

AlmaLinux 9 probably would fix it
