'I was clouded by emotions' – if Viktor hadn't felt anything, if he'd stayed, he would've seen the rational part of it, the arcane part, and he would've used it for his – the hexcore's – benefit.

Viktor left quickly, because prolonging it would've hurt even more – him /and/ Jayce – and so he made it quick and efficient, leaving an impression that he felt nothing. An emotionless person wouldn't have made a comment about feelings.

One may theorise he was feeling extra /off/ by the dissonance between little to none bodily discomforts, and on the other hand, way too many emotions.
Who else but a highly emotional person would say 'it was affection that held us together'?
