✨ Fun fact: in the book I’m translating, a character speaks French… kind of. Their lines made so little sense I had to use Google Translate (EN > FR) to decode them. 🫣

Being a working mom be like: wake up, take care of the baby, drop the baby off at daycare, work, pick up the baby, take care of the baby, put the baby to sleep… work again. And now it’s 1 AM, and I’m finally going to bed. But hey, I’m doing my dream job, so I’m not complaining… much. 🫶

Mon vrai challenge en tant que traductrice ? Les Blagues ! Garder l’humour et le contexte culturel tout en rendant ça compréhensible pour le public ciblé, c’est comme résoudre un Rubik’s Cube les yeux bandés ! Une idée de blague impossible à traduire ? 😏

Translating is hard, but jokes? Woman. That’s a whole other level. Keeping the humor and cultural context while making it work for a French audience? That’s Rubik’s Cube-level hard. What’s a joke in your book you think would be really hard to translate? 🫣
