Palestinian sources say tat israel is refusing to allow members of the Palestinian technocratic committee set
to oversee Gaza into the Strip.
According to the sources, committee members planned to enter the Strip this week through the Rafah Crossing and take over its civilian administration by the end of the week.
In the meantime, committee members continue to meet in Cairo, and
representatives of mediating countries, particularly Egypt, are working with the United States to approve entry of the technocrats into the Strip by the end of the month.

Israel kills Gazans daily in incidents in which the person(s) - 'crossed the Yellow Line and approached IDF soldiers posing a threat so the soldiers opened fire, no Israelis were injured.'
Now if militants were wanting to attack IDF soldiers there are apparently a multitude of weapons still in militant hands and why would individuals need to approach the IDF soldiers?
As is stated to have happened here if militants they would in all probability shoot at the soldiers from a distance. And if actual trained members of Hamas or other
organized group would be using weaponry that would have had a reasonable chance of
actually inflicting casualties as in the attack that killed Feldbaum..
As in Lebanon, one in inclined to see the report of being fired on as a mere excuse to
'retaliate...'
