A belated post having attended this report launch on Monday. Lots to think about in terms of the implications for SMEs - who struggle to find the diverse talent they really need to recruit - and for how @workwhileuk.bsky.social should respond...

As ever, the stars were the panel of young people 🌟

This is important work from @smfthinktank.bsky.social on SME apprenticeships, with a focus here on skilled trades.

There's a lot that here that echoes our experiences @workwhileuk.bsky.social, where we've supported over 2,000 SME apprenticeships since 2020.

So many good things to read this week!

I love this blog - plenty that chimes with how young people defined good work when we asked them, and that's reflected in our SME programmes @workwhileuk.bsky.social.

Interesting to see how we compare to other countries on relationships and autonomy at work.
📢A new blog from IES' @jonnygiff.bsky.social calls for UK employers to loosen management control and increase worker’s autonomy to support workplace health. A reflection on new research for the Commission for Healthier Working Lives supported by @healthfoundation.bsky.social. Read: bit.ly/3OxfzOx
