🤔Can beef ever be carbon-neutral? Find out: go.wri.org/beef-emissio...

Beef production requires vastly more land than other proteins. And that land carries a massive carbon opportunity cost.

At present, it's nearly impossible to verifiably lower beef emissions without simply sourcing less of it.

🌎The toll protein sources take on the planet is often overlooked. But the good news is high protein doesn't have to come at a high climate cost.

🫘For example, beans, lentils, soy, nuts, and seeds are not only great sources of protein but also typically more affordable: go.wri.org/plant-protei...

From influencers to governments, everyone is telling us to eat more protein. The latest to join the fray is the U.S. dietary recommendations.

But here's an indisputable fact: plant-forward meals have much less impact on the planet than animal-based options.

👊Maybe you have resolutions to eat more plant-based, exercise, or go to work by bike.

😪Without systemic change, keeping behavior change sustainable might be difficult. While recognizing this, you can use the EAST framework to keep up the healthier habits👇

📝There’s a reason New Year’s resolutions often fail. And it’s not because we’re weak-willed.

🚲Our behaviors are only partly driven by our own ambitions. They’re largely shaped by the world around us. It’s hard to bike if your city has no bike lanes.
