Did I finish #knitting the magical Ithaca trip yarn hat before snow? No. But does it fit? On the fourth try, yes.
Hand knit beanie on a dish towel printed with sort of New England winter leaves. It has a slow gradient and a pattern with zig zag floats on the outside, making extra layers of warmth.

Watkins Glen NY State Park Gorge Trail immediately after overnight rain certainly is a thing.

View from the trail at a point where one of the lesser falls splashes on your head, looking out across to a bridge and more falls. It is very soggy and green View of several small falls from the center of a bridge. Beginnings of yellow foliage falling on the wet rocks.

This begs the question of who but the Corning Museum of Glass in upstate New York is even in the running for largest glass pumpkin, but it's still an impressive feat.

Work in Progress: extra cicada parade-a fellow picked up last year. Approximately 1 in 200,000 17-year cicadas have blue-grey eyes. I found one in the old yard, gonna paint up a friend in its honor.

Needed some coasters, so I'm back on my nonsense.

American Visionary Art Museum Kinetic Sculpture Race from Patterson Park. Pure and bright #Baltimore weirdness. #AVAM.
Amphibious human powered vehicle titled play2pus, made of a metal frame connecting bicycles over a red pontoon base, topped by a giant stuffed platypus. Potential fun and educational new #StreetPhotography project: world's most dodgy ATMs.

Along a walk to the 9:30, DC
A red metal box attached to a pink painted brick wall between two recessed glass doors. The box has very non standard cutouts to access an ATM keypad, display, receipt printer, and light up "ATM" text. It is covered in stickers and small marker-based graffiti. Below, a mailbox lid. Above, a yellow sign testing "24 hour ATM" also covered in stickers and graffiti. Street number 924. The company claiming to own it has a website still under construction.

Met a screech owl today! Her name is Tiny and she lives at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary since she can't fly. Don't make fun of her ear tufts, she's molting.
