Last question:

I'm aware of the Russian military's reliance on railroads for logistics so I've been following the sabotage attacks against rail infrastructure and locomotives inside Russia. Have the attacks increased to the point where they are having real effects or are they just nuisances?

What is your gut feeling on the health of the Russian rail system over the next five years?

Could be there is an art director who thought the layout would look better as a horizontal image than a vertical.

If you have ever dealt with art directors you'll know how possible this is.

Home production of vodka will skyrocket along with deaths due to alcohol poisoning and contaminate issues. Expect domestic violence to increase as well as crime in general. Glad I don't live in Russia.

Long overdue but warmly welcomed. Take out enough Russian locomotives and their trains will slowly vanish because there's no way to move them.

Logical conclusion. That substation is the only one feeding the town so its an ideal chokepoint. But it could be an old fashion failure of aging, neglected, and outdated equipment.

I stopped using Google search some time ago. This confirms it was a good decision.

That looks a lot like an F-18. Gotta look closer to realize what it really is.

I smell strike aircraft overhead in Crimea.

Straight wings that are SHORT.

Recall the F-104. At altitude, F104 record speed is 2,459 km/h, service ceiling was 22,000m and both on very short wings.

950km/h is high subsonic. Flight control systems are better so I expect very low altitude ingress to avoid interdiction.

If it has similar performance, it may be a massive complication for Russia's air defense system as it will be fast, long legged with a large warhead.

My thought as well. However, I seem to recall that this project got started at least a year ago or longer.

Sadly, that one was shot down. Too high off the horizon to be the target.

I have long suspected Iran and North Korea of covertly assisting each other. My theory: Iran supplied missile technology and the North Koreans tested Iranian designs for a nuclear weapon. Its a win win for both.

Good suggestion. Thanks.
