Gearan Garrison-Wright is vice president for fellowship for Wor-Wic's chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for community college students. "To me, Phi Theta Kappa is an opportunity for growth, collaboration and a chance to push myself in ways I had not imagined before."

Garret Beauchamp of Salisbury chose to study in the welding applied associate of science program at Wor-Wic. “I just wanted a stable career that will always be around,” he said. Beauchamp said he chose credit welding so he could earn both a degree and credentials.

It's Wor-Wic's 50th anniversary this year! In 2015, we were fortunate enough to have Bob Cook on hand to celebrate - he is second from right in the 40th anniversary photo. Cook was the last living founder of the college and passed away in 2022 after making some amazing contributions to the community

Our STEAMposium is happening on Thursday (Dec. 4) at 5 p.m. in Guerrieri Hall. Everyone is invited to this showcase of exemplary work in the areas of science, technology, arts, engineering and math. It should be an illuminating evening!

Wor-Wic's Delta Gamma chapter of Alpha Beta Gamma, a national business honor society, is always doing something for the community! Recently they decorated a tree to include in the Festival of Trees in Snow Hill. Go check them out at Bates United Methodist Church during the town's holiday events!
