I don't think these things are mutually exclusive. I think they're stupid because their goals are ultimately self-destructive, I don't think that undermines them being malicious and cruel.

I think everything the far right says is dumb because I think that their perceived values and beliefs are inherently stupid/awful.

This does not mean that they are not a serious threat, and it doesn't mean that what they say and mean isn't disturbing shit.

I mean yeah, I agree. Tate and Fuentes are insidious at best and yeah, the implications of the shit they say is extremely disgusting to say the least. I don't really think mocking them inherently means you are ignoring or not seeing that though.

One of the top replies is a trans woman highlighting the intent behind it and OP agreeing. I don't think that laughing at the far right for saying dumb shit doesn't also mean that you cannot take their threat seriously, nor does it mean said dumb shit isn't insidious garbage.

I don't think OP is implying hypocrisy here, I think the post is as simple as using laughing at how absurd "Heterosexual relationships are gay" comes off.
