Brilliant book, probably the one I found most challenging to read in the Culture series. Not just the body horror (which is there) but the depiction of war as pointless and random and indiscriminate.

This is fairly common practice in (especially tabloid) newspapers. If there's no name attributed to the article, it means the person was told to write it by an editor and doesn't want to be associated with it.
