Can't have a story without conflict, after all. But I really wanted the catharsis of more external problems which could be heroically fought away. And I wanted to present an optimistic world truly worth fighting for

All is not perfection, of course, as there will always be rouge elements to rein in, existential magic threats, the changing of fortunes, and more to contend with
