The current divide between the Right-in-Power and the Left is, instead, that of a fundamental philosophical difference between two very different understandings of political order. American Democrats, however, are still playing by the old rules.

Largely, up until now, American political discourse has agreed on the fundamentals of what it means to be a democracy. Where the Left and the Right have differed was on which public policies better facilitated the fulfillment of the aspirations of liberty, equality, and justice.

Fascism, economically, is tied to an older iteration of capitalism - the assembly line and workers as parts. The Dark Enlightenment, or Neoreactionary (NRx) thought, sees people as bytes in the algorithm of capital. (2/3)
