Understood - I thought I would never pass or would be an ugly woman at best. This fear was something I had to push past to start the journey - I had to be ok with being what you posted.

But I do pass and am quite attractive from what others say - but a lot of that is because I'm truly happy now.

I started at 39 and at 44 am pretty much fully passable to like 95% of the world. YMMV but for a lot of people you get out of transition what you put in (tip: its not just physical changes)

My only complaint is when I tell other trans women I'm straight and ace for now, some percentage still try to hit on me anyway.

I like your message - but is this a mostly online thing? Literally every trans person I've met IRL is pretty chill towards each other's journey.

I've faced far more issues from cis-women, particularly self labelled "allies" for at least 3 major issues that trans women just don't do.

I think many view us as a goal though, of someone unflappable and who they could be in the future. They don't like the idea of still facing the pains they are currently experiencing - and so when we have hardships it destroys the fantastic illusion.

Such a different boat than me - I have more friends in my life than ever before - but that is mostly due to making a really good friend in the middle of two huge social networks. Without her very much ostracizing the vocal bigots from the networks - I wouldn't have had the opportunities to connect.

Definitely! I'm neurodivergent Af - but hyperfixation helped me little bit because Saxon triggered my puzzle curiosity. But that it was basically just problem sets, I still didn't understand the core math behind it - only how the concepts were applied at exactly the level of the problem sets.

Similar story here - though I was able to figure out a lot from the texts enough to do well enough on the SAT (think I got a 700 on the math portion). But when I took my first linear algebra class (CS major) in college - I was blown away at how much more enjoyable math became with an actual teacher!
