FYI accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt. It dismisses the judge's sentence NOT the jury's verdict. So no, Joe doesn't think he's "above the law." Yes, it WAS a political prosecution (which went all the way to trial with a verdict rendered). And no it's NOT hypocritical.
