a brief introduction for my #ffxiv wol, Sayo

Sayo Konoe (SCH (MCH, PCT))
152 cm (5ft) tall, very long tail

- From Hingashi (born in Doma before the occupation)
- Wealthy family, grew up sheltered
- Travelled to Eorzea in ARR because she wanted to see the world

- Academic, loves history and ancient disciplines of magic
- Also reads a lot of fiction (a hopeless romantic)

ON:
- formal, polite
- good poker face

OFF:
- nerdy and excitable
- will ramble if you let her
- serious case of imposter syndrome

these two are ridiculous.

Sayo thinks it's quite normal for there to be such a height difference! Auri norms and all that.
Aymeric has no qualms and likes being able to carry or hold her with ease; the only issue was learning how to dance with someone so much shorter

Sayo is 28 in ARR. I haven’t decided how long I think the whole game takes but she’s definitely 30+ by 7.0

somewhere along the way (around the end of ShB) she learns to accept her role and come to terms with it. She always feels a little awkward if people fawn over her, but if someone is inspired or heartened by her deeds then that is something to be happy about, rather than scared of

in mid thru post ARR this gets so bad that she believes people only care about the Warrior of Light as a symbol and not her as a person. she starts to get a bit better about this in Heavensward because she DID screw up and fall from grace and what do you know, people still like her!!

For most of the early-ish MSQ Sayo has a horrible time with this; she constantly feels like eventually she’ll stumble and fail everyone (which, depending on the circumstances, her failure could lead to like. loss of life on a grand scale) impostor syndrome, baby

A #wolqotd of sorts: How does your wol handle being “the beacon of hope” so often in msq? Does it fuel them? Do they feel as if it’s burnt out after Endwalker and the responsibility of someone else now? How do the people closest to them see it?
