Mabel Elliott’s biography is now available - Unbreakable Healer - The Remarkable Life of Dr. Mabel E. Elliott. Elliott’s 1924 memoir has a new edition - Children of Ararat. It had a secret co-author in Rose Wilder Lane, daughter of Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Reading this book about a brave American woman who was a spy in World War II. There are so few stories about brave women because it doesn’t fit the typical damsel in distress narrative we expect.

I’m finishing my research into the life and works of Dr. Mabel E. Elliott. She is truly the bravest person I have ever encountered. She saved thousands of children in Turkey, Armenia and Greece after World War I while putting her own life on the line countless times.
