If there's any chance it might tell you /help you experience something new about how your characters feel or might respond later I would be inclined to do it now! And/or if you have it clear in your how now how it will work, it might be easier to whizz it off while it's fresh.

I was so stressed reading it because of the speed of it - the physical evocation of flight - plus the twists! But there was no way I could stop, piled through it in a couple of days 😂
