I had one of those weeks in my PhD program where I had to remind myself that while I value what I am learning (& parts of the process)—I ain’t doing this for publications or for the sake of discourse. This has always been for me to create something I can bring back to my community, period.🤷🏽‍♀️

Also Benito in DC saying “Viva Puerto Rico Libre” after singing about colonialism just makes me think of Lolita LeBron. I think of her bravery and sacrifice and it really touches / adds fire to the passion of what is our culture. 🔥🇵🇷
