You can appreciate a foreign language song without knowing the meaning. I think the same can be true of poems but I would probably seek out the meaning admittedly.

Sometimes it’s fun to read poems even if you don’t know the meaning, I find German a very satisfying language to read.

I’ve done something sort of similar for years, I’ll occasionally browse the dyspraxia tag on Reddit/twitter/instagram and if I see somebody in a similar situation or asking questions I know the answer to I’ll send them information or tell them what helped me.
