'Dirty Mind is a reminder that once upon a time, Prince saw music as a boundless, constraint-free orgy of creativity...'

Many Happy Returns to #Prince’s Dirty Mind, which turns 45 today!

Yesterday's episode of The Rough guide To Rongorongoland is now up on Soho Radio's Mixcloud www.mixcloud.com/sohoradio/wr...

This month I was joined by two rave legends who hail from considerably different backgrounds but, as is the magic of music, were united in the dance.
Wrongtom feat. Erique Dial & Richard Raindance (07/10/2025)
Wrongtom is back, and this time has two very special guests. DC Born Erique Dial joins him in the studio as well as pioneering rave promoter Richard Raindance.

Apparently it’s 43 years today since Madonna released Everybody in the US

Any excuse to share this again. Heres the mini-doc I made about how an impromptu Ike Yard jam session at the music building in NYC inspired their bassist Ken's girlfriend Madonna to write her debut single

Don't forget I'm back on Soho Radio tomorrow where I'll be joined by Richard Raindance and Erique Dial. Expect a lot of questions from me about the history of UK rave, Erique's role in creating house anthem 'Break 4 Love', and the wall of death at the Kursaal in Southend

Tune in from 4 til 6pm GMT

The best foundational reggae band in the world, ever

I came into possession of this one a while ago and wound up live tweeting it while at motorway services between festivals. It features Chaka Demus and Pliers version of Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic by The Police

Not a patch on the accompanying album 😉
wrongtom.bsky.social
Yeah, that's the first, and Greensleeves followed it up with Heavyweight Dub Champion later that year. Though there's also an album with different tracks and mixes using the same Big Showdown artwork which came out on a Jamaican label in 1980 too

I have it pegged for a Dubstack post soon. It's a long and twdry tale
