My technique involves a large initial slurp. It will restore the bowl's mobility but it can distress sensitive viewers.

Bristle Face by Zachary Ball. An orphan boy and his hound. No chance I was ever going to see the movie adaptation.

In my 20's I had a roommate that played "Pissin in the Wind" on repeat so this is kind of revelatory tbh.

Not that I'm a fan or anything

That was done after you first posted there was a trailer out. Have been waiting for this since you announced there was going to be a series.

Ha, well you've made me insecure about using it now! I do use Goodreads for recommendations though not so much through their rating system as a place to glom on to good sources for reading material - e.g. Andy Marr led me to "The Light Years" my current read (and "To Be Continued" previously).

Blackwell's ships free to the US. Takes me an average of 9 days to receive my order but I live in the middle of nowhere.

Pre-ordered. Keep 'em coming.

I usually agree with your posts but it's difficult to reconcile your role in the rise of neo-liberalism with your subsequent views on the inequities that have resulted from it. Maybe unfair to attribute what came out of the Clinton era to everyone who participated in his administration...

"Baggy monster"... I knew giant didn't feel right. I guess rosemary is being touted as improving cognition for the elderly and I need to use more.

"past two" years...

Seems like kind of a trend. Quite a bit of my reading the past two have been what would probably been considered novellas in the past (Keegan, Porter, Wells, Moss). All were excellent though it is nice to read a baggy giant on occasion.

If anything good can be said to come from this debacle, maybe it is to highlight the need for new leadership. The Democratic Party generally needs to evolve.

I'm 65, have worked all my life and had hoped to retire in the next 2 years and am terrified I'll lose all those savings. I think about it all the time. I'll spare everyone my thoughts regarding Elon Musk.

Is it me or is he throwing around that royal we quite a bit?

That is my worry. That what is perceived as momentum stalling is a retrenchment while they consolidate control over the machinery they need to do as they want. The last thing they want is another Mark Milley so they're lining up their forces.
