If one isn't debating consubstantiation with a drag queen, is it even a Saturday night?

As someone who needed a gift idea for someone who recently started a conversation with "so what's everyone's worst map projection" thank you.

We're good reliable leftist contrarians... But we have a bad habit of leaning into the contrarian part. Sometimes when we're told we can't do something and spitefully do it anyway it's great, like gay marriage. Sometimes it's war crimes. Real mixed bag.

As a legitimate northeast Mayflower descendant, I can assure you that no one has ever wanted our opinions (not even ironically), and that's probably for the best.

Oh sweet summer child. You think this is as bad as it can get? That is ADORABLE.

An easier question: When will diseases start respecting international borders. We don't provide medicine out of altruism, at least not solely. Treatment in other countries prevents outbreaks here.

The confusion is real, but not because it's bastardized. Both meanings have been used for as long as it's been in use. It's always been synonymous with both fortnightly and semi-weekly. English is just irritating and 'bi-' means both 'twice' and 'two'.

Is it In Memoriam?

Partly because we can't just call an election. It's easy to drag it out when you know exactly when it's going to happen years in advance.

Do you regret it though? Feels more like a "revel".

It's like you're some kind of irreverent master giving out some kind of tasks. A joboverlord, or a dutyruler, or a choresuzerain. Something pithy.

I think that last one is really more simple county lawyer... In a town where everybody sings.

I'd gladly vote for, politicians smart enough, to use a haiku.

Luke's magic mark. I mean... Probably not. But I can dream

I don't know, I always appreciated that moment. He's in contrast to the rest of the imperials shown in novels, he doesn't punish failure, he punishes the people who refuse to give their best effort. He's the rare villain who inspires loyalty and is in some ways scarier for it.

Ah yes, the age old argument, that if only LGBT folks didn't want to (checking my notes) exist in public, then everyone else would have been just fine. If the "few" can't exist in peace then the "many" are just the next on the list.

He doesn't believe HIV treatment prevents AIDS. So... Yes actually. He's a monster among monsters.

So... Sliders?

RFK Jr has his confirmation vote this morning for HHS. He doesn't even believe HIV exists. It's not just HIV treatment is about to be threatened in America as well.

I actually hate that my government wants me to die. But since they have the power and plan to make that a reality, I think I'm entitled to a little gallows humor about an almost certainly harmless rock that I can't control.

With all due respect, the man doesn't believe HIV exists. If he's appointed I will quite likely die from not being able to afford medication. This tepid criticism is pathetic. DO BETTER.
