Yeah the more I re-read the David sagas, the more frustrated I get that he won't just grow a spine and just punish someone to try to end the constant blood feuds everyone around him is having.

It turns out the rot in big-time media organizations was not just its own discrete problem but just the tip of the iceberg of moral rot in all our large organizations - media, education, business, finance, government, etc.

Even without the US, European NATO would demolish Russia (nukes aside). I could certainly see at least some of the European leadership ignoring Trump and responding on their own.

I see it happening, I don't doubt it. But it makes no sense to me that Putin could be so stupid as to try to take on NATO when he can't even take on Ukraine.
