Every discussion I’ve ever had regarding whether Die Hard was a Christmas movie was completely unprovoked by someone claiming that it isn’t. Meanwhile my favorite Christmas movie for the past two decades is the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

2. Replacing someone’s missing/dead pet with an identical one
3. Christmas flashbacks when a main character is on the verge of a big life change OR trapped by hazardous weather conditions
