It doesn't care about colour, it cares about colour identity. Which is its own arbitrary set of rule.

It can make sense to use an outsider perspective to introduce, but doing it with new 4 characters, in addition to the Planeswalkers, really cuts into the time for Lorwyn stuff and has produced a story with what seem to me to be pretty significant pacing issues.

To me it would make more sense to save the actual creature cards for Strixhaven. That way you don't get a sense of taking away from Lorwyn, and hopefully people will be happy to see them in Strixhaven. They can still have them show up story spotlight cards.

Baldur's Gate (the original, I mean) seems agreeably simple and unfiddly compared to modern CRPGs like Pathfinder, POE and Divinity
