I worked with community care a few years back. Even then family’s were shipping up their elderly for all the freebies & a better NHS.
I think people have just moved across the border for exactly this.
But so thick to realise if we all voted with them we would loose them all & a Scottish government.

I don’t believe it either, but Stanrear i suspect is a prime spot for our neighbours just across the border to set up home here and benefit from our devolved system
