I really wasn't this much of a doomer a few months ago, and I'm not even sure I actually believe in this prediction, but perhaps that's because I don't want to believe it as it is not self-serving.

Either the bubble bursts and we get a recession and AI slop for the rest of time, or it keeps going and causes ✨ complete economic collapse ✨ akin to the Dust Bowl + Great Depression, but this time for knowledge and creative work[ers].

And so far I don't see any gov anywhere trying to prevent this.

I once tried to understand how this insane math was computed. It works something like this:

1. Price for something went up 10X
2. Then it went down to "only" 5X of the original price
3. "Price drop of 500%"

🤦‍♂️

I've not shared much about my attempt to grow jalapenos here. Here's the result of growing them from seed since May or so. They mostly grew outside but now are in for the winter. I don't really have any idea what I am doing but they turned out mostly okay.

I would guess this is because most builders are using m2 now. If you really need SATA, you could use a $10 adapter/enclosure.

Ensuring something on a different computer is received and processed once and only once. Which is to say, possibly sending the message multiple times (retry/timeout) and expecting to receive the same message multiple times (idempotency/transactions/request IDs).

I'm sure this has a succinct name.
