Dad, hiker, travel junkie, can't get enough of current affairs, fan of historical fact and fiction. Can’t be dealing with Twitter any more.
Why do the interviewers never correct him? They should see it as a badge of honour to know they’ve been belittled by Trump. It’s a signal to the rest of us that they’re good at their job.

Excellent documentary. Well worth a watch.

Maybe I’m being disingenuous, but Trump was probably looking for an off ramp as well.
January 21, 2026 at 11:32 PM
I wouldn’t bet on it not flaring up again or in another guise.
January 21, 2026 at 11:30 PM
If the mid-terms weren’t to happen then this would probably come into play.
January 21, 2026 at 11:25 PM
Yes, his 3 day special military operation ‘got it done’ alright.

Didn’t Yeltsin already sell everything during the 90s? I thought that’s when all the oligarchs were born.

Thing about stupid is that it doesn’t realise it’s stupid.

Would this be the same deal the US has had since 1951 and was renewed in 2004?
January 21, 2026 at 8:10 PM
Apart from everything else, the sheer lack of self awareness in Private Bonespurs 🤷‍♂️

He can be infuriating at times, but you still have to love O’Leary. Some fabulous trolling going on. Love that he never takes himself too seriously.
January 21, 2026 at 5:46 PM
If he says it’s not on the table, then we can assume it’s on the table.
January 21, 2026 at 5:43 PM
It’s those voices in his head again.
January 19, 2026 at 11:35 PM
The only good thing to come of his letter is that knowing how badly he’s suffering and how much psychological pain he’s going through as a result of not winning the prize makes me smile and genuinely brightens my day.
January 19, 2026 at 10:58 PM
Have you seen his cabinet meetings? You’re relying on these servile, sycophantic bootlicking mediocrities to save the US?
January 19, 2026 at 10:39 PM
Source please.
January 18, 2026 at 7:41 PM
Still, excellent opportunity for some Schadenfreude.
January 18, 2026 at 7:33 PM
Shouldn’t Trump be wearing a little Russian flag on his lapel?
January 18, 2026 at 12:24 AM
It’s his very own SchutzStafel - SS. The brown uniforms are already on order.

👏

What a waste of a young life. Rest in peace. I hope Europe does not rest until Putin and those responsible are brought to justice.
January 17, 2026 at 11:27 PM
You’re probably right, but it’s what he should do. The optics (and moral stance) for Ireland are all wrong / especially as far as Europe is concerned.
January 17, 2026 at 11:06 PM
I don’t really want him to die before he’s been brought to justice and suffered though. A perp walk in handcuffs would be a good start. An orange jumpsuit would be a great next step. And then a really bad experience in the prison showers to top it off.
January 17, 2026 at 10:52 PM
I sense a shift though. The language is getting stronger. Sending personnel to Greenland was a good move. If he doesn’t back away from new tariffs the next step must be to hurt US businesses in Europe. And I really want to hear Micheal Martin announce that he’s not going to the White House in March.

Or they could deny him the oxygen and just not air it at all.
