yeah I think it's much the same here as in the US. not so much in circles I grew up in but I'd say there's a general taboo

yeah for sure. I think ultimately none of these people are our friends or have aligned interests with us, wherever we go. This place seems like it has stuff worth trying to keep at least imo

I think esp with the lack of communication this is likely a combination of the company itself and general/tech-wide problems rather than individual devs. I don't think we should be rooting for anyone to lose their jobs, and fall guys are convenient for bosses to deflect the root issue
