I timed him in a race - 2015 at Victoria park, Leamington spa youth circuits, along with both Backstedt sisters if I remember correctly.
From there to TdF stage win in 10 yrs! I'm so pleased to have seen the early stages of what has become his career.

You should have come to the Marches 3 day instead. Shobdon, Presteigne and Weobley. Hotel bills for the motorcycle outriders paid for by British Cycling because it's a day off in Aberystwyth.

You could try fadedpage.com for out of copyright books. They've got all the Wimsey (Dorothy L Sayers) and Campion (Margery Allingham) amongst many others.

But just reading is a form of engagement. I can learn from or be amused by a post without having anything useful or interesting to say in reply. We can be said to be engaged with a book but it's unlikely the author will ever know.
