Last week, the Department of Basic Education South Africa, Zenex Foundation, and the British Council, in close partnership with @wwhglobaled.bsky.social, hosted an exciting three-day #EdLab Peer Learning Event in #SouthAfrica, with Education Lab teams from South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and Botswana.

The visit also included high-level engagements with key education leaders in India. In addition, the delegation held a technical dialogue with the leadership of NCERT, and joined Pratham and the Central Square Foundation for an in-depth session on the role of #assessments in driving #FLN reforms.

As part of the visit, the delegation participated in the high-level event ‘Foundational Learning Forum: What’s Working?’ in New Delhi. The session was hosted by GEEAP, @wwhglobaled.bsky.social and the British Council, focusing on how government systems can use evidence to drive impact.

Last week, the Global Coalition for Foundational Learning, joined by #African partners such as Human Capital Africa (HCA) and the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA), visited #India to learn from the country’s #FoundationalLearning reforms and foster South-South exchange.
