A bolide, or large meteor, broke up over South Carolina and Georgia earlier today, creating a fireball that was bright enough to be captured by GOES-19.

We are still on alert day for the possibility of severe weather. Strong wind gusts are the main threats but an isolated tornado is also possible. The timing of storms will be roughly 1-7 pm. Stay weather aware!

If you're working on your outside holiday decorations tomorrow, the weather will be chilly and sunny, but also breezy! Take extra care getting up and down on ladders or putting large decorations out as you may be fighting the wind!
