An exhilarating debut single released on the People Unite label. A John Peel favourite - backed with 'H-Eyes'. #TheRuts had played their first gig with their recognised line-up at High Wycombe in November 1977. Pure UK #punk

A surprise mention for the new Monks Club at Norman Bragg Studio at Waterside, Aylesbury on Ch4 #SundayBrunch. Debut last night with sold out gig by The Molotovs. Desperate need for these type of venues both in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Great initiative by David Stopps 👏

Kenny Morris was genuinely ground breaking in his drumming style. For me, the Banshees sound was defined by Kenny and John McKay, culminating in classic albums 'The Scream' and 'Join Hands'. I feel privileged to have seen one of their last SATB gigs together at Aylesbury in August 1979 ❤️
