Oomfie mentioned he wished brio had a way to disable parenting of bones when you're posing and I realized this is information not a lot of people know. But if you select the bone you want, click on the Propagate icon and then disable Position and Rotation, it is no longer parented.

her eyes are fucked up in that they seem to not be independent of each other...? if i use gaze controls they just move as one pop out of place. but i didn't change the eye weights from this sculpt at all so now i have to figure out what went wrong. they seem to be weighted normal in blender...
