In June, Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo stepped away from hockey. "The likelihood is low that my body will recover to the standard required to play."

On Monday, he wouldn't rule out a return to the NHL this season as he rehabs his hip injury.

The Capitals new third jerseys are like a franchise eras tour with shoutouts to the fans in DC, Maryland and Virginia.

"It reminds me of my first year. Good days," Alex Ovechkin told ESPN. "They look cool. I hope fans are going to love it."
