Timberwolves
Why were the starters out there anyway?

Close, but not that close? If that's where we're at, why say anything?

Look @ Bucks in 23-24 with Dame & Giannis. Both played 73 games & Dame had a season better analytically than Ant has ever had & they still only won 49 games, 3rd in East. Giannis is now older with more tread on the tires. Without being able to mortgage draft picks, it just doesn't make sense.

Just redistributing Mike's minutes to flawed guys like Bones and Clark is statistically better for the team than Conley playing them. It's not much, but that's what the numbers say.

Wolves presently can offer a worthless swap in 26. A swap in 28. A limited swap in 2030 and a 32 swap. Only pick they can trade is 2029, but only if its 1-5 (otherwise goes to Utah or whoever they traded it to)
February 4, 2026 at 5:41 PM
Sorry, but no. Wolves already traded their 2031 pick for Rob Dillingham so can't trade 2030 and 2032 because of the Stepien rule. Wolves can't trade 2026 now either because 2027 already goes to Utah from Gobert deal as does 2029 (top5 protected) 2026 and 2030 are already swapped.
February 4, 2026 at 5:38 PM
Google "Stepien rule" and you'll understand why your trade doesn't work. Wolves can't trade those picks.

*Should* have no problem? Just making sure you're talking about the Timberwolves.

Wolves have an arrogance that serves them when it propels them vs good teams or large deficits, but hurts them a lot when they give in to the corresponding complacency. They're a team full of guys who all assume someone else will do the little things.

Momentum seemed to swing negative both halves when Conley came in. How long can we keep playing him?
January 21, 2026 at 4:40 AM
Love Mike, but this is getting ugly.

Ant should be a starter, but ASG is still largely a popularity contest.

I do have to disagree on Ant's D. It's been inconsistent to the point that he has the worst Def. Rating of any rotation guy.

News on Naz?

Yep. Julius was "blocking" Castle which screened Wemby.

Never know with Jaden....could have been another one
January 9, 2026 at 4:23 AM
Which PHX game? I only remember the Denver game 7 attempt after the Wolves had put it away.
January 9, 2026 at 4:14 AM
Not a great look for Ant. People fairly question the coach, but consistency of effort & attention to detail also heavily depend on player leadership. The 2 guys with least consistency of effort are Ant & Julius, the leadership of the team.

What was the announcer saying about Rocco being draft eligible in 2026?
December 21, 2025 at 1:29 PM
I attend a lot of games & one of worst parts is watching players constantly gripe to refs despite being wrong most of the time. Refs are FAR FAR from perfect, but it's a hard job and all the player grifting & griping makes it worse.
December 19, 2025 at 10:29 PM
Aggressively approaching refs should be a T regardless of intent. Shouldn't matter if a player has a good rep or not. The "contact" that got him tossed was minimal & he probably shouldn't have been tossed, but he technically did touch him which can't happen if he's not that close in 1st place.
December 19, 2025 at 10:26 PM
Emotion is fine. It's been clearly understood for years though that you don't run up on a ref. The announcer said it right away. If Thompson can't abide by league decorum, he need not play in the NBA.
