Since I’m planning to draw popping also of other characters other than my OCs, I decided to quickly explain my very personal understanding of popping and permapopping. I probably could’ve been more clear but I hope it still makes sense to you.

Here’s my personal understanding behind popping a character. When I make a character explode in my drawings the are two possible scenarios for the post-detonation: reforming is the most common, but I could also seldom imply permapopping. 1. REFORMING (it is the MOST COMMON implied scenario in my artworks) I do not usually draw reforming because I like the explosion to be the very last thing happening in an inflation scenario. However, if I do not specify that there is permapopping, it is implied that the character is ok and will reform. I also love imagining each popping as the “last one” (as if there is a very small insignificant % the character will not reform) to add some thrill to the inflation scenarios I draw. 2. PERMAPOPPING (it is LESS COMMON in my artworks) Speaking about permapopping, I usually do enjoy it a lot, but I do not draw it often. If I’ll ever do (and I probably will) I’ll indicate it in CW. I have the feeling perma is quite a delicate topic because it could imply the d€@th of the character. Well, I personally (and, again, it is just my opinion) consider it more a sort of transformation than a fatal end. That helps reducing the “heaviness” of a total and makes me enjoy perma scenarios. Also, I love when (perma)popping is treated as no big deal: the more casual the scenario is, the more I like it.

Remilia Scarlet traveled to a far away civilization in a bizarre outside world and brought back many foods infected with a foreign virus which turn people into produce! Setting up a ball she unknowingly started a new incident within Gensokyo and now it’s up to Reimu, Marisa and Doremy Sweet to- What’s that? Reimu is has ballooned up like a blimp around her hips? What do you mean she’s unaware!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE SMELLS LIKE “SWEET GEORGIA PEACHES”!? What’s that now-? She says she is capable of solving the incident? CAN’T FIT IN HER SHRINE!? WHAAAT THE FUUUUUCK!? Marisa is a better shot type anyways. We just got word in from Aya that Reimu’s body has taken on a strange form! The front of her body is just about as swollen as her behind and she “looks roughly like a wrecking ball except she is sunset orange and full of juice”. Apparently the transformation was relatively fast, first her ass gradually plumpened and then her pelvis all around started rapidly filling with juice and slowly gained an orange peachy hue. Her skirk swiftly rode up and exposed her white panties and eventually took on a shape that would put The Giant Peach to shame.
