I was always a bit skeptical when my US friends explained about “checks and balances”, with a proud, almost arrogant tone. I should not have kept silent for the sake of friendship.

Confused as to why everyone is surprised by a possible recession.

It was always the plan, even if we take him at his word…there is no other possible economic scenario. If we assume he was lying, it’s even more likely. Hard to rebel if you have trouble getting food on the table.

The IEA says the Age of Electricity has arrived and the Age of Oil is over.

So, is there a better way to manage our oil and gas resources than simply replacing the USA with other customers?

May we at least have that conversation?

The nice thing about this new US is that they might actually get some gun control.
You know, so the serfs stay in line.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird that I’m now worrying about measles in 2025?

If you are looking for some great piano, I recommend Alexandra Streliski’s INSCAPE album.

Some soft tunes to help the soul in these, frankly, aggravating times.

Sometimes I notice that I have completely illogical preconceptions with which I have been operating.
Today, I realized that, of course, not all classical style piano has been written more than 100 years ago.
The little joy of discovering new artists. I feel refreshed.

Dear Southern neighbours (US), please stop asking to be refuges in Canada.

I know this is the first time the US royally screws over your entire country.

But the rest of us have had to deal with your shit for decades. You just have to pull through.

Sincerely,
A Canadian

Thinking about it, isn’t the US leadership just using the Tech playbook?
Move fast, ignore laws, try to grow enough so you can’t be removed and dominate the space?
Strange how the Tech playbook looks so similar to the Faschist playbook.

I am fresh out of my MBA, so I am curious, in these times, would you start a business in Canada?
If so, what industry? Where?

Expression commune, chez moi:

« Tiède foncé »

Désignant généralement une température un peu plus chaude que tiède, mais pas encore a un niveau assez élevé pour utiliser le mot « chaud ».

Habituellement associée à l’utilisation du micro-onde.

It is interesting how few of the people in power remember the famous Voltaire line, « Through great power comes great responsibility ».

We keep excusing the behaviour because we know the failings within ourselves.

But to lead, one SHOULD be held to a higher standard.
