obsidian and notion seem to come up the most frequently, especially obsidian. I can't rate either of them personally because my personal note-taking strategies are much more basic, but I would be surprised if obsidian didn't work for you

depends on what you use one note for, for myself regular notepad is sufficient but you said that's not an alternative so I can't recommend that to you

those things look cool but they do kinda have that downside of needing to have something for each month in order to work. guess that means my new year's resolution is to draw at least one thing every month! (I will fail immediately by not finishing anything in January)

that doesn't sound right. cleaning a tainted data set is not difficult, so spending these resources rebuilding the platform just for clean data is foolish. that's like building a new house to get out of deep cleaning your fridge. the twist must be something else (or they're just stupid, I guess)
