I have been slacking a bit on dev time lately, but finally squeezed in a small update!
Added breakable objects that can drop loot.
The system is fully generic, so adding more breakables later should be a breeze!

Enemies now have health bars! 💀
They can drop loot, and the player can pick it up.
The mysterious red book will restore 1 HP when collected. ❤️📖

Update #3

Goblins are back! Enemy movement has been fine-tuned, and the player can finally fight back.

I’m now back to where I was before switching to turn-based — time to start making real progress again!

Small Demo Update:

Switched to turn-based grid movement. Player and enemies move one tile at a time, and rats wander until they spot you 👀🐀

Nothing fancy yet, but it feels a bit closer to the game I want to make.

Player can now attack goblins, and they can die… but watch out - they can respawn!
Also added a subtle screen shake when taking damage.

Added a goblin that chases, attacks, and returns home.

Player can now take damage, die, and respawn. With a working health bar!

First WIP for my roguelike demo!

So far: project setup, basic character movement, an empty dungeon, and a health bar.

Next up: giving the player some enemies—rats and goblins that chase, attack, and can be defeated!
