From my understanding that doesn't even prevent moderation action like this from happening. Because Blue sky Corp still owns the fire hose going to all the apps, they can still block someone like that

The most any sane person would do is host their own PDS, but that's just data storage for your own content- all the data for the feed is powered by bluesky's relay service
