It’s the youthful baby cheeks. I have it too. Even with stone cold eyes, people feel entitled? or feel that I’m easy to access and like to talk to me. I literally never talk lol.

I think he either knows something about the current administration that’s going to compromise his financial power if it gets out, or he’s just a smart man who’s about his money first and is planning the exit strategy. Either way, something fishy is going on and we gotta follow the money.

Maybe Murdoch is ready to separate himself from the far far right, because he has a lot of money on the line if the far right takes things too far.

Everybody knows that the NFL is the gladiator sport that typically distracts and quells the right from engaging politically and he allowed that “I’m somebody” NFL ad to start programming the right to be more moderate.
February 12, 2025 at 2:26 AM
Perhaps Murdoch has a lot on the line financially in Canada which is why he allowed that Canada ad to be played. And Murdoch doesn’t wanna lose whatever he’s invested there.

OR (and this is a big or that borders wishful thinking and conspiracy) Murdoch who just like every other CEO is all about the bottom line and making money, sees how companies that are complying with current presidential policies are losing money and facing a lot of push back.
February 12, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Everybody’s gonna get riled up and it’ll somehow align with an “anti-black” policy the current presidency is trying to push. That’s the easiest explanation.

I think the simplest and most superficial reason as to why they “allowed” Kendrick to perform the way he did was because it was an easy money grab. Fox News will talk about it how it was the worst performance, how it was “too ghetto” and stimulate viewership while igniting the right.
February 12, 2025 at 2:21 AM
I highly doubt that the C-suite of Fox reviewed Kendrick’s ideas of how he wanted to do the show and not notice the symbolism and messaging. You’re telling me the people who are experts at programming and subliminal messaging don’t have analytical or critical thinking skills? Get outta here.

So this year’s Super Bowl was hosted? I guess, by Fox right? Which we know is owned by Rupert Murdoch and they have their right wing biased cable news channel Fox News Network.
February 12, 2025 at 2:14 AM
Welp. He didn’t say anything explicitly? I should’ve known better lol. My apologies, Mr. Duckworth. Excellent performance and I loved how it went over most people’s heads cuz that message wasn’t meant for them.

So today, let that man play his music and have his moment. Listen to his words. Enjoy it as the artist intended.

Non-black Americans cannot rely on black Americans to fix everything. Black Americans have BEEN trying to tell everybody for the longest time how to be better. And yet we continue to ignore them.
February 9, 2025 at 10:11 PM
He’s a politically charged person who engages in political discourse, but he’s not a politician. Unfortunately the black American’s experience is politically charged and it’s a burden they bear without true consent or autonomy.

All this to say that if you’re overwhelmed by trying to do right by using your purchasing power wisely, I wouldn’t feel so bad if you had to purchase a Pepsi product. They seem to be a good company and have done good by their employees, even if it’s been through gritted teeth at times.

Through their union efforts I was able to receive healthcare with the help of the ACA all throughout college and after college as well until I turned 26. Please take my opinion as anecdotal support rather than evidential fact.

My father was a truck driver for Pepsi. Through Pepsi I was able to receive a scholarship that helped me pay for part of my university tuition for all 4 years of school. Pepsi also allowed their truck drivers to unionize with Teamsters.

PepsiCo and other Pepsi products are listed on Goods Unite Us as a company that has donated relatively evenly to both parties. I personally am leaning toward products that have donated evenly or not at all.
