an excerpt from my fic “first chance,” a character study focused on malos from xenoblade 2 that takes place after the game’s plot and in strong relation to xenoblade 3. the excerpt goes as follows: "Do you see it?" Pyra whispers. Her voice seems to meld with Mythra's for a brief second. "On the horizon?" Deep within their Cores, connected to Origin and awaiting their return while they continue to process data, Logos and Pneuma wait for the moment where Ontos will reach out to them and they can begin merging the split worlds back together. It isn't a literal sense of seeing, but rather a sensation, a suggestion of what's out of reach but just barely. A world with a similar shape to theirs, drifting closer, despite their differences, or perhaps because of them. Malos nods. "I see it. Less than five years to go." Pyra and Mythra nod. "We'll return to our Cores, to protect the worlds," the blonde states. "Together." "Together," Malos hums, flashing a smirk at the two. "Sure you won't mind sharing the spotlight?" Mythra rolls her eyes. Pyra snorts, "We'll manage, dear brother." "I'll hold you to that, dear sisters." an excerpt from my fic “sapphic yearning,” a fic based on an intimate interaction between two women during the events of “torna: the golden country,” as told from the point of view of brighid’s diary. the excerpt is as follows: I can see her now, a woman I long for, a woman composed of my sapphic yearning and nothing more. A mirage. She exists as an ethereal light, warm and kind. She can hold her own, but she struggles to ask for help. She keeps up a front-a tough exterior, a facade-for she is equally bound to her duties as I am to mine. Perhaps she is my Driver. I will know from the second we meet that she is something special, though I doubt my feelings for her will be realized so soon. Every memory shared will be one of joy, every moment of sorrow followed by comfort, every moment of anger followed by apologies. She is tender. She is a force.
