I can only cry right now, I don't feel strong enough to win these fights every minute of every day. I won't give up somehow I'll do it but God darn it what would we be if we just started saying yes more than no? If your still here I'll be OK, so will he, thanks for your time guys

Sometimes the gap between the lines is so big you gotta swing hard, let go, leap of faith and hope ur strong enuf to grip the next one. So many arent, life expectancy for my son is 39 to 58 years o

We could build something better. We talk about a safety net being dismantled but for kids like my son it's always been more of a rescue line, and that line has a narrow scope and focus and you gotta reach for the next line and swing like tarzan

They're struggling fiscally, so the mosr vulnerable get cast aside. The problems not new, that's the worst part, it was the same before trump and Linda, it's been that way for so long and no one knows the depth of it except the family's crushed by the weight of the water they can't tread anymore.

He asks to go to the park, or hiking, swimming or riding bikes. Want paw patrol, love sonic the hedgehog, listen Beyonce, Taylor swift, REM. Look Santa, mmmm turkey. Sadie (his dog) woof woof.

But his ride to school isn't guaranteed, it's not legally required. He doesn't matter to them.

I added a button for that word. Now I get asked why when I say no kit kats you've had enough candy. He started asking for fettuccine instead of spaghetti because he likes the fat noodles better. He asks for his favorite foods when we go grocery shopping.

Heartless thinking that. He's spent a year with a communication device learning to use pictographs to have a computer be his voice. So far we can do two words at a time reliably. He told me he wanted brown k the other day. Took me hours to figure out he wanted a kit Kat bar.

The reason school districts don't offer partial hospital programs is because they're expensive. Our school district spends about 14k per year on a typical student. My son gets that spent in a month. Alot of people say it's not worth it, or think of the other kids he's using so many resources.
January 15, 2026 at 12:57 AM
They say their not legally required. I say, how do you justify that thinking. A kid with special needs, ones you can't address with your own program so he's got to go somewhere else, doesn't deserve a ride on days he's got school? It shouldn't need to be legally required.

The PHP and school district operate on different schedules, meaning they might have different days for teacher in-service, start and end times for breaks, holidays etc. The school district refuses to provide transport on days when his PHP has instruction but they don't.

The school district was supposed to administer the eval according to the rules but they ghosted us for months. Eventually we got a psychiatrist to do it on our own, luckily insurance paid. The school district is supposed to provide transportation but they refuse to do it consistently or reliably

Recently he needed a specific evaluation done to qualify for ODP waiver access (wraparound services, funding and services coordination for after school age people) its best to sign up early for thar, it takes a while to get accepted, took him over 1 year to get approved.
January 15, 2026 at 12:57 AM
But because your local school district is still "in charge" of certain things its become a nightmare right now as we do a yearly iep. They can't affect his treatment plan as his PHP is independent so they make other things hell for him.

He doesn't attend school where we reside they don't have a partial hospital program that offers services and supports for autism at his level of diagnosis. We had to find one on our own, they are rooted in science with proven results. He's flourishing with their support

Maybe explain to him what happened to the SA and why.

Its kind of hard to have balanced trade when there's big differences in population size between partners, the bigger one is always going to need more than the other

Automatic compulsory registration at birth, paperwork filled out by parents and hospital staff, same as your birth certificate and social security would solve all this.

Wrongly accusing a voter should carry harsh penalties for individuals and institutions.
