It's mostly age disparity.

Older working class POC have some of the lowest propensity of voting. The opposite for white men.

When you see such a white vs POC disparity, it's partially because 60+ white voters are voting at a higher rate than any other group.

I think conservative extreme in hard natural sciences ends at "I don't read diversity statements" or "I don't need govt funding when tuition exists".
Anything more conservative and you have a major conflicts with your belief system with no real incentive.
