Weirdest OC? That's a tough one, bc they're all normal to me haha.
I suppose that goes to Kothix. He doesn't understand why people laugh, but understands hospitality and sharing. But he's a Lizardfolk, with no grasp of humanoid emotion or conventions. But he's a Forge Cleric, and loves building.

Mora is a Dwarf princess chasing adventure & playing the bad girl.
Blüg is a humble Dragonborn cook who loves her, even though she toys with him and fucks around. He knows she'll eventually settle down, and he's ready to be her safe harbor.

3. Favorite has to be Mog (see 1). She means so much to me as my first.
Her father, the chief, taught her to hunt, fight, and use the forge. When she was old enough, he forced her to kill him in ritual combat so that she could be the next chief. She exiled herself & became a monster hunter instead.

1. Oldest: Mog, my Half-Orc fighter. Made for Skyrim originally. She was the 1st rpg char I ever came up with a backstory for/thought about her inner voice, and how she might relate/react to things outside of the game script.

Entering The Library
#LunarLibraryLore
The Door has no hinges or seam, nor is it attached to any structure. It appears anywhere there is space, seeking out those who would benefit from its contents. The cold blue stone is adorned with a pair of wolf guardians and sparkling obsidian bats. An open hardcover book functions as a handle between them. Above the bats are the various phases of the Moon, arcing from one side of the door to the other. And across the top of the door, a Latin inscription: Luna Sit Dux Vester. “May the moon guide you.” The Entrance Hall to the Library has always been a grand one. High arching ceilings of dark wood tower above a cool stone floor. Carved wooden pillars of every culture imaginable, including those that no longer exist, line the walls. Between them, ever-changing portraits of all manner of subjects reside, often depicting salacious acts not for the faint of heart. A wide ever-burning fireplace sits at either side of the hall, emitting naught but pleasant scents and a comforting crackle. Chairs and couches of every shape and size surround the hearths, often changing shapes and places to fit the Guests. The room is lit largely by orbs of light that float lazily near the ceiling. These Bulbs are spirits of Knowledge and Curiosity. Former Archivists and Guests who have chosen to remain within the Library after their physical forms have passed on. They will typically gather around Guests who read their stories near the fireplaces. Across from the entrance sits a large, wide counter; more dark wood, the baseboards carved with interlocking imagery from hundreds of classic stories. Dragons, demigods, destroyers and survivors. Tricksters and tale-weavers share space with warriors, healers, and lovers. Left of the counter is a paneled wooden doorway with a gilded plaque near the top. It has had many names, but now goes by The Stacks. Beyond is a collection of shelves containing stories recovered from the depths of the Library's Infinite Halls. These have been found by Archivists, and left behind by previous Guests for others to read. And waiting behind the counter is, usually the Library's Archivist. They wait to speak with you; to discover what your heart, or your loins, truly desire in a story. And when they've found it, they set off beyond the counter into the Infinite Hallways of the Library, seeking out the exact experience to cater to your needs.

Scents of the Library

The air in the Library changes with the seasons, but there are some scents that are always present. Aged oak & petrichor give the place an old, earthy scent. Ash can be smelled under the seasonal scents, from the ever-lit fireplaces. Approaching the Stacks and the Endless Hallways, you're overtaken by the scent of old books; ink and parchment, love and lust, supple leather and just a hint of copper. Settling into your seat, blackcurrant finds you. Apple, the original forbidden fruit, teases your mouth to watering. And finally amber, with just a hint of musk, teases your nose.

Winter in the Lunar Library

Frequent guests know that the fireplaces throughout the Library never go out. They are a staple, even in the summer months; a constant crackle and glow that epitomizes the space. It simply wouldn't be the Library without them, just as the night sky would feel empty without the moon and stars. But it's in the winter that they truly roar. Warmth and comfort radiate from them, along with scents of cinnamon and gingerbread. The wooden columns are all wreathed in sprigs of holly and mistletoe. Snowpeople and ice sculptures, unbothered by the fireplaces, move and change throughout the Library. Snowflakes drift lazily from the ceiling; falling just low enough to dust a reader's head, but never to dampen the pages. And the Library spirits disguise themselves as snowflakes, ornaments, or even as gusts of cold wind that tickle your nose.
