Wow it has been a minute, finals you know, but I'm back. And what an issue to be back for Uncanny X-Men 100 and 101. The Phoenix is here! In a sense of the word that is. I'm pretty familiar with the lore so I never expected Jean Grey's sacrifice to hit as hard as it did.

Hold up the beginning of Jean looking like she has the phoenix force. I know that the current author is the one who spearheads that arc but it cool to see the beginnings of that design start to come through even if it is before the idea ever occured to him. issue 98

Issue 98 of Uncanny X-Men and I'm so pleased to see Scott and Jean having some actual chemistry on page. They have some cute banter and it's Christmas time. Honestly I really like Scott's character in these early runs.

I've been convinced to document my X-Men journey reading every issue/crossover of the major teams involving the most unusual superhero team of all time. So my first post on Manetrix, who finally got called Polaris for the first time in issue 97 of Uncanny X-Men, so win.
