Male Ruff in full breeding plumage, the white ‘ruff’ making him a satellite bird, usually on the fringes of a lek. This one, and a solitary female were on a loch in the Outer Hebrides, passing through or deciding to stay remains to be seen. #Ruff @rspb.bsky.social @bbcspringwatch.bsky.social #Birds
